Dr Angela An was fabulous. It was my first time seeing her. I have to say I’ve never seen a dentist take such care. She explained clearly the procedure, asking what I needed , my feelings and expectations. Bedside manner is excellent. Her staff was super helpful too. They remember something I said a few weeks on phone too, great attention to detail. On top of that , my teeth were totally whitened! In one session. Worth every penny. Everyone marveled at How dramatic thé transformation was! Highly recommend!

Dr. Angela An is very professional and will discuss everything with her patients. She does so in a manner that anyone can understand. She is also very kind-mannered making the dentist visits less of a chore than it is with other clinics. Xiomara also is very easy to work with and she will help you work around your availability. I don’t like going to doctors and dentists but after my first visit, I am very happy to say that I have found a dentist I wouldn't mind visiting as often as I can.

Dr. An is awesome! She and June do an amazing job at providing outstanding service. My husband and I moved to San Mateo in 2018 and since we were both working and commuting, we were looking at Saturday dentist appointments. When I called Dr. An's office in San Mateo, June was able to squeeze us in on the next Saturday Dr. An was taking patients. I did my Invisalign treatment with Dr. An, which went very smoothly. She was incredibly accommodating with my appointments for my regular check ups. I was working in San Francisco and commuting from San Mateo, and I was impressed how understanding and flexible Dr. An was with scheduling. She is very caring and attentive, and it never feels like she is rushing. She educates me and my husband during our appointments, explaining what she does and why she does it, and answering all questions we have. The way she treats her patient like family makes me feel lucky to have her as my dentist. I recently had the good fortune to meet Dr. Angela An, DDS. I needed to make a decision on having a two-unit crown placed and was looking for a new dentist. Dr. An and her terrific office manager/dental assistant June, were the perfect, right match for me! Dr. An has a wonderful, calming and kind approach to her work. She is also extremely skilled and competent. She explains exactly what will take place and gives you her knowledge and reassurance that you can count on. Dr An is the utmost professional! She takes the time to explain the issue and explains preventative measures. If you're looking for a dentist, she's the one! I wouldn't recommend any other.

Dr. An is truly a dentist from another era - she cares so much not only about your teeth, but also about your overall well being and what is going on in your life overall. This is what a family dentist was - today, you see a dentist for maybe 4 min to diagnose any issues, not with Dr. An. She will explain everything that is done or needs to be done in detail so that you understand what you need to do (She is consistently telling me "Heidi floss")!! As a patient of Dr. An for 30 years, I have seen our lives grow and change, but the one thing that has stayed the same is her dedication to her family practice. I love the second location Dr. An opened because I recently moved away from the city and this San Mateo location is very easy to find parking and her office is state of the art and a place you want to be, especially if you need to get a filling or more taken care of. I can't say enough great things about Dr. An - definitely make it a point to try this dentist out if you live in or around the Peninsula - you will not regret it!

I LOVE Dr. An! She is sincere, kind, truly caring, and patient. She took the time to ask me in-depth questions about my previous experiences with dentists, specifically as it related to my anxiety as I sat in her chair. She actively listened to my concerns and throughout the entire exam, she checked in with me to make sure I felt comfortable. Today, I went into her office to have cavities filled and I can honestly say it was the best experience I've had with someone drilling into my teeth! Even though I was late and other patients were coming in behind me, she still took as much time as I needed to ensure I was comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. The hallmark of her care (and why I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a new dentist) is the personal touch. She remembered almost EVERYTHING I told her about my personal life during my previous visit. She also told me about her family and how she came to practice dentistry.. I will be doing this review on behalf of my mother, Guisela. My mother called me as soon as she was done with her appointment and said nothing but great things about Dr. Angela. My mother was there about an joe early and Dr. Angela asked her to come in and get her check up. She was very gentle and very nice. They talked as if they were friends and were catching up. She made my mother feel comfortable and was very helpful. My mother told her what was going on with her life at the moment and Dr. Angela offered her help. I've lived all around the country and been to many dentists and I was totally impressed with my very first visit with Dr. An. She was extremely thorough with her exam and she took the time to tell me exactly what I needed to do to improve. She told me what I was doing right and some areas to consider.  I felt like I was in great hands.  I'm excited I now have my dentist in the Bay Area!

Dr. An and her staff are very friendly and welcoming! I have been going to the same dentist for my whole life and was nervous to switch. With Dr. An and June, they made me feel comfortable and the transition was easy. Dr. An spends actually spends time with you for the entire appointment (unlike the other dentists I have visited). I had one of my teeth chipped off the other night and unfortunately my regular dentist was out of town. Long story short, I end up seeing Dr. An which is about an hour away given the typical Bay Area morning commute. I was impressed to moment she walked in, sincerity was written all over. She took her time to go over my X-ray and thoroughly exam my teeth. I would say her assessment was spot on, her knowledge was deep, her honesty was highly appreciated. The end result was you guessed it: perfect, brought a big smile out of me. I have seen numerous dentists because of my teeth situation over the year, hands down Dr. An tops them all. An hour drive is nothing compare to the care you received. I will sure go back to Dr. An again, and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her to anyone need dental services. Dr. An has been my dentist for 4 years. I am probably one of her more difficult patients as I rarely floss so she has her work cut out for her when I walk in the door. She chastises me a little over that but I always leave her office plaque-free and with the intent to begin flossing more...unfortunately, that intent never lasts. Dr. An is very knowledgeable about her craft and she explains clearly any problems she sees, as well as suggesting maintenance tips. I always learn something about my teeth/gums when I go in. On my last visit, my gums were partially inflamed and she showed me the warning signs to look for. I usually have to reschedule my 6 mo. checkups and she has always been accommodating. I would recommend Dr. An to anyone who is in need of a dentist.  Thanks, Angela!

My family dentist retired after 30 years of seeing him.   I was a little hesitant seeing a new dentist because I was so accustomed to one.   Dr An has been my new family dentist for 2 years now.   If I didn't have so much trust in my other dentist, I'm sure I would have seen Dr. An long time ago.   My 3 year old daughter looks forward to her appointments.   She educates you on proper hygiene and is super gentle and thorough.

Best Dentist I've ever had! I move a lot so I am always having to get a new dentist. Dr. Angela is so personal and a great teacher. She explained everything in detail to me and taught me how to prevent problems in the future. By taking time to talk to me she made me so much more passionate about the care of my teeth. This review is long overdue.  My family and I have been Dr. An's patients for a decade now.  She was referred to us by my previous dentist when we moved down the peninsula.I believe working with caring and skilled health care professionals is the key to quality care.  Dr. An is one of the few that fits both criteria.  She always keeps our best interest in mind.  Rather than merely fixing problems, she emphasizes preventative care.  When my kids were younger, she spent lots of time to teach and to encourage them to care for their teeth.  Even now, she still reminds them from time to time.Several of my teeth have receding gum line due to me brushing too hard over the years.  I became concerned as I worry it will cause sensitivity and more prone to cavity.  After explaining to me several treatment options, Angela did a beautiful job to address the issue.  It was so beautiful I couldn't stop looking at them the next day.  We feel very lucky to have her!  Thank you, Angela!
